Say no to New Years Resolutions!
yes that’s what I said.
You do not need New Years Resolutions.
They seem very positive at first glance.
lose weight, save money, do more exercise, look after your skin, leave work on time….
These all promise a better life.
BUT they are a pathway to disappointment and despair when you do not meet those lofty heights you set yourself to get that “better life”
Why not say – I am fine as I am.
Yes just that- I am fine, I am safe and I am enough
WHAT????
You might say that actually without resolutions you wouldn’t achieve anything
you will not strive for things that you want,
It is the way to keep yourself stuck.
I say, pushing yourself to a goal that is unclear, not focussed and does not meet you where you are at is a recipe for disaster.
Why are you not fine, safe and enough as you are right now?
Why do you feel you need to create an impossible goal that will not be achieved in 3 or 6 months?
Will achieving it make you feel fine, safe and enough?
I will wager probably not.
